America’s Sweetheart Sandy Bullock joins us this week!
Academy Award-winner Sandra Bullock doesn’t read Toy Soldier (yet) but we wanted to see if you were paying attention. Now that you’ve opened the email, we’d like to say hello and happy March, everybody! Today, we are going to share a major setting from issue #1 and of course, our themed pizzas.
If you are not following us on Instagram (you should!) we posted a pic of the annual on the shelves at Pulp Fiction Culver City. If you are local, grab a copy off of the shelf, and pay this awesome shop a visit! There’s a great coffee shop next door called Tanner’s. This isn’t a promo, we just want you caffeinated and literate. It’s Reading Month after all!

Issue #1 Special Preview
Fellow teens: we cordially invite you to Valorville High’s homecoming! Get ready to dance the Madison and bust out your cummerbund! The student council has a band lineup so fierce, it might as well be called “Oldchella” or “LuLupalooza, To Bix Barrington With Love.” Keep it tuned right here as we reveal the bands and find out what part they play in Issue #1!
Pizza Time
We put the Cup O’ Pizza guy out of business with this pizza creation. In our ode to comedy gold The Jerk, we made Pizza in a Cup. Of course, in our instance, pizza was the cup. We shaped pizza dough into a cup shape and stuffed it with mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, ham, mortadella, pizza sauce, and mozz cheese sauce, topped with more cheese and broiled to perfection. Now stick an umbrella in your drink and be somebody!
We are now in this weird place in our television schedule where we are watching Pedro Pascal shepherd kids across a dangerous landscape twice in one week. What better timing to make “The Last of Us” fungal infection meal? A variety of clamshell and trumpet mushrooms top a pie with fontina cheese and pickled red onion.
